What they write
stays theirs.

  • Nothing leaves the device

    No account to create. No telemetry, no ads, no tracking SDKs. Entries live in an encrypted database on the phone, tablet or Mac.

  • Locked, if they want it

    Face ID, Touch ID or a passcode keeps the journal closed to anyone else holding the device.

  • Encrypted sync, optional

    iCloud sync is off until they turn it on. Entries are encrypted on the device first, with PBKDF2 and ChaCha20-Poly1305, using a passphrase only they know.

  • “Data Not Collected”

    That is Plume’s App Store privacy label. There is no Plume server that holds journal entries, so there is nothing for us to read.

  • Never locked out of their words

    If they stop paying, Plume turns read-only. They can still read, search and export everything they wrote. Forever.

  • AI is optional

    Off by default, and never required. If a client turns it on, it can run entirely on the device, with Apple Intelligence or a local model.

Copy it into an email, a text or your session notes for the client. Edit it freely. It’s yours.

Questions practitioners ask.

Can I see my client’s entries?

No. Nobody can, including us. Entries live on your client’s own devices, and Plume has no account and no server that holds them. If a client wants to show you something, they export or copy it and share it with you themselves.

Is Plume HIPAA or GDPR compliant?

Plume stores nothing on our servers, so there is no client data for us to process, hold or lose. Optional sync goes to the client’s own private iCloud, encrypted on the device first. Plume has not been certified under HIPAA or any health-data framework, and it isn’t meant for clinical records. Your own notes belong in your practice’s own system.

Is there a free version?

Every client starts with 21 writing days free, with every feature unlocked. Only the days they actually write count. After that, Plume becomes read-only: they can still read, search, sync and export everything. Writing continues with Plume Yearly, where the code applies, or Plume Lifetime.

Does the code work on Mac?

Yes. One subscription covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. Your client redeems the code once, on any device signed in to the same Apple Account, and it applies to all three.

Which languages is Plume available in?

English, French and Spanish. Plume runs on iOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS 26, or later.
