Partner with Plume

Share Plume. Keep 50% of the profit.

Plume is an independent, local-first journaling app. No VC money, no growth team, no ad budget. Just me and the people who choose to talk about it. If you're one of them, I'd rather split the money with you than hand it to an ad network.

The split

Half of every sale you bring in

Fifty-fifty on the net revenue, meaning what actually lands in my account after Apple takes its cut and taxes are paid. No tiers to climb, no minimum audience size, no clawback games.

50%
What they buy Sticker price Your share
Plume Lifetime, one-time $59.99 ~$25
Plume Yearly, first year $19.99 ~$8.50
Plume Yearly, every renewal $19.99 ~$8.50
Figures are after Apple's 15% commission. Renewals keep paying you for as long as the customer you brought in keeps renewing. I don't cap it at the first year.

How it works

There's no dashboard to sign up for yet. It's deliberately manual, which also means it's deliberately flexible.

1

You get in touch

Email me with where you'd be talking about Plume: newsletter, YouTube, podcast, blog, TikTok, a Discord you run. Rough audience size helps, but I'm not screening on follower counts.

2

You get a link and a free lifetime licence

I set you up with your own tracked link and a promo code your audience can use. You also get Plume Lifetime on the house, because I'm not asking anyone to recommend an app they haven't lived with.

3

You talk about it however you want

No approval process on your content, no script to read. Be honest, including about the parts you don't like. Journaling is a trust purchase; a scrubbed ad read won't sell it anyway.

4

You get paid monthly

I send you the numbers and your 50% once a month, by bank transfer, PayPal, or Wise, whichever suits. Apple pays out on a delay, so a given month's sales settle the month after.

Why it's an easy thing to recommend

Genuinely local-first

Entries live in a SQLite file on the device. No account, no server, no sync you didn't ask for. The privacy claim holds up when your audience checks it.

Buy once, or don't

$59.99 lifetime or $19.99 a year, after a 21-day free trial with no card and no account. Nobody feels tricked, which means nobody comes back annoyed at you.

AI that stays on the device

Local models, or your own API key if you'd rather. Reflection prompts and pattern-spotting without shipping anyone's diary to a training set.

Who I'm hoping to hear from

Writers and newsletter authors covering journaling, habits, or mental health
Privacy and local-first software people
Mac and iOS app reviewers
Therapists, coaches, and mindfulness teachers
Productivity and note-taking channels
Anyone with an audience outside English-speaking markets

Small and engaged beats large and indifferent. A 400-person newsletter of people who actually journal is worth more to me than a million passive impressions.

Details worth knowing

Why 50%? That's high.

Because the alternative is spending it on ads that convert worse. If you can put Plume in front of the right person, that's worth as much to me as it is to you.

How is attribution tracked?

A tracked link plus a promo code unique to you. The code catches the people who look Plume up later instead of tapping through, which is most of them.

What about refunds?

Apple refunds come off the total before we split, same as they come off mine. It's rare, and I'll always show you the line item.

Is there a contract?

A short written agreement once we've agreed terms, so we both have the split and payment schedule in writing. Nothing exclusive, and you can walk away whenever.

Do I have to disclose the partnership?

Yes, please do. Follow whatever disclosure rules apply to you. An honest "I get a cut if you buy this" has never cost anyone a sale worth having.

Can I do something other than a straight affiliate deal?

Very likely. Bundles, a giveaway for your audience, a custom landing page, a flat fee alongside the split. Ask.

Let's talk

One email, straight to me. Tell me who your audience is and what you'd want to do. I answer everything, and I'll tell you honestly if I don't think it's a fit.
